Website Review

I've come across a lot of bad web pages in my life, but I've also come across some really good web pages.  I'm trying to be positive so I won't do any nasty reviews of webpages, umm, unless they really annoy me, hehe, but for the most part I want this section to be filled with the best that the net has to offer.  So here are some website that I really like:

Webattack.com - I really like this as a resource has tons of freeware and shareware software all with a review.  I find myself going to this site a lot to find software that I would need for my computer.  It has a nice layout and really a great resource.

Downloads.com - This is run by Cnet and has a large selection of downloads.  I like this because it has user reviews of the software.   Take the user opinions with a grain of salt, some are really horrible reviews but uneducated, while others are very thought out and  beneficial in making up your mind on certain programs.

GRC.COM - Steve Gibson really put some time into making a website that explains firewalls and internet security.  A good way to test if your firewall is working or leaking...just go to the shields up section.

House Call Online Virus Scan - Basically it is an online virus scanner, free to use, and it will scan your computer to see if you have any viruses present.  I happen to like this site, the scanner works, and great for people that have yet to put any antivirus software on their computer.

Netmechanic.com - This site is geared more towards the webmaster, but it has some very useful tools that will check out your site for errors, a pretty good resource of information.

Webmonkey.com - If you're interested in becoming a webmaster or just learning how to write a webpage this is a grrrrreattt resource.  Has tons of tutorials and very helpful advice about all aspects of writing webpages.  Did I just say Grrreeaatt?  umm, Okay I must want my frosted flakes.

Yahoo Games - All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.  Okay so I stop off at Yahoo games from time to time and just play Chess or Pool...generally a fun place to play...sometimes you get the benefit of playing against someone really obnoxious and beating them to heck and back.  Ahh small pleasures in life...I mean, I don't take gaming that seriously, so I enjoy someone that's breaking a blood vessel trying to win and taking the game too seriously.

Belarc - This got listed in the freeware section as well.  Just a great utility they offer to tell you about your system.  So download the program and print up a copy of what devices, drives, etc...it will really help if you ever need to repair your computer.
