So, you're probably wondering
what Computer Tweak is all about. Looking up Tweak in
the dictionary gets us this definition: To adjust and
fine tune. So that's what this website is all about,
helping people to adjust and fine tune their computer
to make it the best it can possibly be. I try to
do this in the simplest possible terms, so basically even
a computer novice can get helpful instruction from this
website. (As as side note Tweak can also mean
"to make fun of or to tease" which I'll also
do from time to time).
Who am I? I'm Bond, James Bond...okay so I'm not James
Bond, but I can do a mean impersonation of Sean Connery
saying "shaken, not stirred". In reality I'm
a webmaster, songwriter, umm, computer geek, but you probably
figured that out already.
First here's my picture (don't
blame me if your monitor breaks). 
So now that you know what I look like I should give you
a little background on why you should be listening to
me and what computer help I can offer you. I've
been writing web pages for the last 9 years, at first
just for fun, now for fame and fortune, umm, or at least
that's what I tell the people around me. I started
writing web pages because it allowed me the time to pursue
my other passion, writing music and performing.
I'm still keeping the hope alive in that area, sending
out new recordings and demo's constantly, so, if you listen
to my advice here you can say, "That famous singer
songwriter helped me with my computer." Okay okay,
might be wishful thinking on my part, but, who knows.
I've been using the computer since I was a young little
tyke...so I've learned a lot, I've forgotten even more,
but it has made me a computer jack-of-all trades, meaning
I know a lot about a lot of different topics. I
don't know everything, surprising for a computer geek
to admit to something so shocking, but the internet, computers,
technology is moving so fast that it's almost impossible
for any one person to keep up with everything that's currently
out there. I do my best though and I can usually
help almost anyone that has computer troubles.
Windows XP Pro is my operating system of choice at the
moment, but I run Win 98, Win 2k, and Mandrake Linux on
some of my older computers...So I have a working knowledge
on lots of different topics. Now, before you say,
Ohhh Linux, I'm really a beginner with Linux/Unix operating
systems...I can help a bit, but it's really not my area
of specialty. Hats off, or should I say RedHats
off to those Linux Gurus...give me a few years and I might
be able to call myself knowledgeable in that area.
Personal things about me, umm, I play the guitar and dabble
a great deal with other instruments (5 that I can actually
play), I like to juggle (I only do that so when people
call me a clown I won't get insulted), and I like old
movies, cartoons, reading classic literature, and just
about anything Tech.
Well, there you have my story, or at least part of it,
after all, I want to keep some mystery about me, you can't
know everything in one sitting, otherwise you'll become
bored and won't come back for more....So, this is a beginning
bio for me, as people ask more questions I'll either add
to this thing or you'll just get to know me through the
message boards, newsletters, or my updates to this site.
Now, enough about me, get reading some tech articles already!!!!
