Mud Pie
Yield: 6 to 8 servings
1 9" crumb crust made with chocolate cookies
¼ cup coffee liqueur (optional)
1 quart coffee ice cream, softened
1 ½ cups fudge sauce
Sweetened whipped cream for topping
Slivered almonds, for topping
Fold the coffee liqueur, into the softened ice cream. Heap it in
the chocolate crust and freeze until the ice cream is firm. Spread
fudge sauce over the top and return it to the freezer for 10 to
12 hours. To serve, garnish with whipped cream and almonds. Mud
pie mavens require that plates and forks be chilled.
