Crumb Crust
Yield: one 9" crust
1 ½ cups fine graham cracker crumbs (about 24 squares)
2 cups butter, melted
¼ cup sugar
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
In a medium bowl combine the crumbs, melted butter and sugar. Press
the crumb mixture firmly over the bottom and up the sides of a 9"
pie pan. Bake for 10 minutes. Cool before using.
Cookie Crumb Crust: Instead of graham crackers use crushed ginersnaps,
chocolate waters or vanilla wafers. Omit the sugar.
Nut Crumb Crust: Use 1 cup any crumbs plus ½ cup finely chopped
nuts. Omit the sugar if using cookie crumbs.
