Stained Glass Window Cookies
Makes 15 cookies
1 package (18 oz.) Nestle Toll House Sugar Cookies Bar Dough
¼ cup flour, for sprinkling
½ cup or more finely crushed hard candy
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line baking sheets with foil. Cut dough
in half; refrigerate remainder. Sprinkle flour on counter and over
dough to prevent sticking. Roll out dough to ¼” thickness. Cut into
shapes with 2 ½” cookie cutters. Place on baking sheet, 2” apart. Cut
small shapes in cookie centers and spoon candy in to fill holes.
Pierce a hold to hang cookies (optional). Repeat with remaining dough.
Bake for 7 to 8 minutes or until edges are golden. Cool for 1 minute;
then slide foil with cookies to wire rack to cook completely. |
