Green Cabbage Rolls

1 medium-sized head cabbage
2 teaspoons sugar
¼ cup chopped parsley
1 teaspoon ground pepper
½ cup bread crumbs
1 cup bacon bits
1/3 cup bacon drippings
1 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup chopped onion
1 teaspoon paprika
1 pound ground beef
Cheese, to be melted

Wash cabbage and take larger leaves from it. Mix all other ingredients and roll some of the mixture up in the large cabbage leaves. Hollow out the rest of cabbage head and stuff with remainder of mixture. Place cabbage and cabbage rolls in covered casserole dish and bake at 325 or 350 degrees for 35 minutes. About halfway through, pour melted cheese and bacon bits over cabbage. Sprinkle with paprika.
