Easy Walnut Cake
1 ½ sticks butter
1 ½ c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla extract
6 eggs
2 c. all-purpose sifted flour
6 tsp. (level) baking powder
¾ c. milk
1 c. walnuts, chopped
SYRUP:
1 c. water
1 c. sugar
Cream together butter and sugar; add cinnamon, vanilla and eggs.
Combine flour and baking powder. Add dry
ingredients alternately with milk to batter. Fold in nuts. Pour into
a greased 9x13-inch pan and bake in 350 degree oven
for 35 to 40 minutes. Pour cooled syrup over hot cake.
SYRUP: Bring to a boil for 5 minutes
