Oven Stifatho

2 lb. beef, round steak or stew meat
3 lb. sm. onions
Salt & pepper to taste
½ tsp. oregano
2 cloves garlic
2 bay leaves
½ c. vinegar
8 oz. can tomato sauce

Cut meat into large cubes. Dry meat well - this is an important step. Place meat in casserole with the onions. Combine
remaining ingredients and pour over meat. Cover with foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 2 hours. Uncover and continue
baking for another hour.
