Raisin, Nut Cake

2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sugar
½ tsp. salt
½ c. raisins or chopped dates
2 eggs
½ c. chopped nuts
½ stick melted butter or shortening
1 c. milk

Combine dry ingredients with a fork. Add raisins and nuts. In a separate bowl, beat together eggs and melted butter.
Add milk and combine with dry ingredients, stirring well. Pour into an angel food pan which has been lined with greased
wax paper. Allow cake to stand for ½ hour, then bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Cool thoroughly. Remove from pan and
peel off wax paper before serving.
