Greek Pot Roast

3 lb. beef pot roast
6 cloves garlic
Salt & pepper to taste
2 T. oil
3 c. tomato sauce
2 T. vinegar
1 tsp. nutmeg
6 whole cloves
½ tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp. allspice

With a small sharp knife make slits in meat. Sliver the garlic and insert a sliver of garlic in each slit. Sprinkle salt and
pepper over meat. In a large skillet, brown the meat on all sides in the hot oil. Combine tomato sauce, vinegar, and
spices and pour mixture over meat. Cover and simmer until meat is tender, about 1 ½ hours. Remove meat. Continue
cooking sauce, uncovered, until sauce is reduced to about 3 cups. Serve sauce over spaghetti.
