Meat Sauce for Macaroni
Serves 4 to 6

2 onions, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
3 T. butter
1 lb. ground beef
1 ½ tsp. salt
Pepper to taste
6 oz. can tomato paste
2 c. water
½ tsp. cinnamon
Ground cloves to taste

Saute onions and garlic in butter. Add meat and brown. Add salt and pepper. Mix tomato paste with water and add to
meat mixture. Bring to a boil. Add cinnamon and cloves. Simmer for 1 hour. Serve over macaroni. Sprinkle with grated
cheese.
