1 lb. butter
¼ c. powdered sugar
1 egg yolk
1 jigger whiskey
1 tsp. baking powder
1/3 c. orange juice
3 ½ to 4 ½ c. flour
Melt butter and let stand to cool. Beat for 20 minutes, until it is
white. Slowly add powdered sugar, egg yolk, whiskey,
orange juice, baking powder and enough flour to form a soft dough.
Roll dough the size of a walnut and place on a
cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 15 minutes, or until lightly
browned. Sprinkle powdered sugar on sheets of wax
paper. Remove cookies from oven and place on the powdered sugar.
Sprinkle cookies with additional powdered sugar,
coating them completely.
