HTML Tutorials

HTML is the basic element of all web pages.  Here you will find a list of tutorials and helpers to get you started.

W3C

Rating:
Site Description: This is where the standard for all HTML is written.  Yep, World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) is where all the specifications for html, xhtml, and xml come from.  They have lots of tools and tutorials to help you along.
URL: http://www.w3c.org
Editor's Comments Very good site and if you write web pages, you should at least stop by W3C once :o)  Also has a good validity checker for you html.

Html School

Rating:
Site Description: Absolutely the best there is out there in terms of teaching new users html.  It has a huge selection of interactive tutorials and probably one of the best places to brush up on html coding.
URL: http://www.w3schools.com/html/
Editor's Comments I would say the only drawback to this site is it should have a little more explanation and a little less example.  A good paragraph explaining what a certain tag does sometimes is a little more helpful to a new user of html.

Dave's Site

Rating:
Site Description: A very good tutorial for all to read.  Takes you step by step through the basics with interactive tutorials.
URL: http://www.davesite.com/webstation/html/
Editor's Comments This site has more then just an html tutorial, you should poke around and see what else they have to offer.

NetMechanic

Rating:
Site Description: This website will read over you site to check for html errors also browser compatibility issues.
URL: http://www.netmechanic.com/
Editor's Comments Good site, worth a visit...but I like the W3C validation service.

Html Help Center

Rating:
Site Description: Very good tutorial that covers all aspects of html.
URL: http://k_c.home.mindspring.com/Htmlhelp.htm
Editor's Comments Printing up the html tag table from this wouldn't be a bad idea, just so you have a hard copy reference of what all the tags can do.
