Diet Plans

I was going to make this a section of all fad diets, but I decided that I wouldn't, instead, I'm going to give you the diet plan that will work for everyone, because it's a lifestyle change, not just a diet program.

The Dieter's Time Diet -  This is going to be very simple to understand, because it isn't a diet plan per say, instead it's a way of living with yourself and the way you need to start thinking about dieting and exercise.  What you should do is reduce your calorie amount, increase your exercise amount, and do this until you lose weight.  Plain and simple, dieting isn't about wonder drugs or easy fixes.   Here are the basics you should know:

  • If you eat a certain number of calories in a day and you also burn off just as many calories through daily activity, then your weight will remain the same
  • If you eat more calories than you burn off through daily activities, you gain weight.
  • If you eat less calories than you burn up, you end up losing weight.

It's just that simple. So, you really should think of making yourself more active, visit the exercise page to get a better idea on what you should do during the day. Exercise can speed up the amount of calories you burn off and will help you greatly!

How many calories do you need during a day? Here is the calculation: Multiply your weight by 15. This number will give you how many calories you need to eat to maintain your weight.  This is a very rough and ready calculation and multiplying your weight by 15 is only if you're a very active person.  This rule won't apply for everyone, depending on how fast your metabolism is and how much activity you do in the day.

Each pound of fat on your body is 3,500 calories. Soooo, if you eat 3,500 calories over the daily amount for your body weight, then you gain. If you consume less then the daily amount, then you start to lose weight.

I'll expand and maybe write up an actually day to day diet plan for you to follow, but I generally like people to sculpt a diet that can work for them.  I wouldn't know what foods you have a dislike for and I'm not going to limit that, because there is so many foods, and you can keep a diet on almost any of them, as long as you try to eat healthy and work out more.
