No-Fat Food Trap

When you go to the store you see a million products that say, Low-fat, no-fat, and these words seem so attractive to a person, they make you feel as if you can eat these foods and not have to worry about dieting ever again.  You let your mind drift as you eat a whole box of low-fat cookies, ahhh life is wonderful.  However, you do that for a few days in a row and you step on the scale and you won't be pleasantly surprised!!

When foods say no-fat, or low-fat, most of them substitute high amounts of sugar to make the product still taste good.  Sugar easily converts to fat, so you're really not really gaining any benefit from eating this sugar loaded fat free treats.  Also, fat makes you feel full, so when you eat fat free foods, you don't feel as full and end up eating more of the fat free foods to compensate.  There are some good low fat products, but make sure you check out the labels, read the sugar amounts, and always remember, these foods still have calories, if your body doesn't burn up these calories it just will get turned to fat.
