Soups, mmmmm,
mmmmm, good
One of my favorite foods is soup and it's one of those great
diet foods that almost anyone can enjoy. Why are soups
so good?
- It takes a long
time to eat
- Most soups are low
calorie
- It's filling
- It's good for you
There was a study a few
years ago that stated soup added to a diet will speed up your
metabolism and reduce the hunger cravings. There are two
things to look out for, creamy soups (higher in calorie) and
the salt level in soups. Unfortunately, most canned
soups are also high in salt, so take that into consideration
when eating soup. Healthy Choice puts out a low sodium
soup in a can, so that might be the best, or better yet,
homemade soup, mmmmm.
