Weight Loss Journal

Dear Diary, okay, I know many people have a diary and they write all their deep thoughts down in them and it's a place where you feel comfortable sharing those meandering thoughts that enter into your mind.  What about a weight loss journal?  This is a tip that will help you to plan out and to realize what you're goals are and how you're progressing in reaching that goal.  Writing down the amount of calories you have had in the day, writing out how much you've worked out, writing down how much you've lost.

The process of dieting can be a long journey and it's very easy to lose focus that dieting is a day to day activity, not just a short-term goal, but a lifestyle change goal, and writing out how you're reaching these goals will help you to realize these goals, even when you lose the weight, you should still continue to track your weight loss and your work out regime.

You don't have to do something too complex, what you should do is this:

  • Write down your calories for the day
  • Write down your weight
  • Write down your workout routine

Those simple things will help to keep you on track, will help you realize your dieting goals.  Seeing your calories for the day, what you've eaten, will help you become aware of what you eat during the day.  I'm sure most people eat without thinking, if you know that you're going to write it down it forces you to think about what you're eating.
