Kid’s Crafts
Sandpaper Gingerbread Men
You can decorate your tree with gingerbread boys and girls made
out of sandpaper. You’ll need brown sandpaper, a pencil, scissors,
a liquid paper pen and ribbon.
1) Draw the outlines of gingerbread boys and girls on the back of
the sand paper (smooth side). Cut them out.
2) Use a liquid paper pen to draw their faces and clothes on the
rough side of the sand paper.
3) Tape a loop of ribbon to their backs so you can hang them on
your tree.
Stamp Your Own Christmas Cards
You can make your own Christmas card stamps out of potatoes, a knife,
paint, a paintbrush and matching paper and envelopes. Have an adult
help you with steps 1 and 2:
1) Cut a potato in half.
2) Use the knife to cut away the potato to make Christmas-shaped
stamps e.g. a tree, star, circle (for an ornament), etc.
3) Spread paint on a piece of scrap paper and dip the potato stamps
in the paint. Decorate your own Christmas cards and envelopes with
the stamps.
