Colonial Brown Bread

2 cups buttermilk
2 cups whole-wheat flour
2/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup light-brown sugar, packed
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon pumpkin-pie slice
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup raisins

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch loaf pan.

Combine all the ingredients and stir until blended. Spoon the mixture into the pan, back for 1 hour, remove from pan, and cool on rack.
