CRUMB CAKE
1 CUP FLOUR
1/2 CUP SUGAR
1/2 TSP VANILLA
2 TSP BAKING POWDER
1 CUBE BUTTER
1 EGG
Sift flour, baking powder
and sugar together into mixing bowl, cut in butter, combine
vanilla and egg, beat slightly and mix into flour mixture. Refrigerate
10 minutes. Grease 8 inch pie plate (or use 8 inch square pan).
Place half of dough into it; add filling and crumble remaining
dough over top. Bake in preheated oven at 375 degrees for 25
minutes. Crumbled topping will join together to form a solid
crust while baking.
FILLING:
1 CUP STRAINED THICK APPLE
SAUCE
1/2 TSP. CINNAMON
1 TBSP SUGAR
Combine above ingredients.
Serves 6 to 8.
